The work engages with the iconic figure of the Maneki Neko (beckoning cat) and its position between mass production and collective fascination. Building on the sculptures GOLDEN DOWNSWINGS — developed through kinetic drawing inspired by the gesture of the Maneki Neko — it creates spatial forms that, through experimental draping of unconventional materials, shapes, and colors, negotiate their place between the human body, mass-produced object, and sculpture. The piece deconstructs the traditional symbolism of the Maneki Neko, recontextualizing it within a speculative exploration of a “Future ID-Entity in a Utopian World of Embryonic Life Habits.”
