Aktion V01 relocates the artistic process into the public sphere, interrogating the boundaries between private self-representation and public perception. A glass studio installed in Berlin’s U9 subway transforms the body into a stage for self-staging and a search for authenticity within a world shaped by external gazes. The figure of the woman in the cage — a central symbol — embodies not only exposure but also captivity within social observation and judgment. Under constant scrutiny, the body becomes both a claim for autonomy and a call for visibility. Voyeurism is not merely observed but enacted, as passersby witness the performance and simultaneously become part of the spectacle. By shifting the creative process from closed doors into public social interaction, questions of identity are translated into drawings like PROTOKOLL V01 and the object series SYSTEM MODELS. How do our concepts of self and other, privacy and publicness evolve when these boundaries become permeable? How do we navigate a world of constructed identities, and how can authentic self-perception find new materialization and corporeality within public space?
